Balanced Beauty, A Med Spa Design In Birmingham, MI

The project began with a 1,700-square-foot suite in the heart of Birmingham, MI—a vibrant location with incredible potential. The existing structure featured beautiful wood ceilings and architectural elements that offered a distinctive starting point. Our challenge was to honor those details while reimagining the space into a harmonious blend of warmth, sophistication, and flow.

When the BeautiLab team came to us to design their elevated, state-of-the-art medspa, we envisioned more than a beautiful space—we set out to create an environment that feels restorative, inspiring, and aligned with their purpose of wellness.

This location presented a distinctive opportunity: existing wood ceilings, beams, and columns offered architectural warmth and character. Rather than removing these features, we chose to celebrate them. The natural wood introduces an organic texture that balances the modern minimalism of the overall design, creating a subtle sense of grounding and authenticity.

The retail area features a soaring arched display trimmed in metal accents—a sculptural moment that draws the eye while reflecting the brand’s refined sophistication. Behind the reception desk, a dimensional feature wall brings a calming, organic texture that feels like art in motion. Its soft rhythm creates visual harmony, allowing the brand’s logo to stand proudly within it.

Every element was chosen to evoke balance—clean and minimal yet deeply inviting. The result is a space that feels alive and nurturing; a place where beauty and wellbeing coexist effortlessly.
