What information do we collect?

  • We collect information from you when you register on the site, place an order, enter a contest or sweepstakes, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, or participate in another site feature.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, purchase products, enter a contest or promotion, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

How do we protect visitor information?

When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive/credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases to be only accessed as stated above.

Do we use “cookies”?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart. The term “outside parties” does not include Michele Pelafas, Inc.. It also does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.

However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?

To modify your e-mail subscriptions, please let us know by modifying your preferences in the “My Account” section. Please note that due to email production schedules you may receive any emails already in production.

To delete all of your online account information from our database, sign into the “My Account” section of our site and remove your shipping addresses, billing addresses & payment information. Please note that we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping.

Third party links

In an attempt to provide you with increased value, we may include third party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).

SMS Messaging & Compliance Policy (A2P 10DLC)

1. Overview
Michele Pelafas Wellness Design communicates with clients through SMS to provide timely updates, appointment reminders, design process milestones, and wellness insights. Our SMS policy ensures respectful, relevant, and compliant communication that aligns with our brand promise of enhancing wellbeing through intentional and elegant client experiences.

2. Use Cases for SMS Messaging
SMS may be used for the following reasons:

  • Appointment confirmations, reminders, or rescheduling
  • Order or delivery status updates for design elements or materials
  • Project milestone updates (e.g., design approval needed, installation date scheduled)
  • Personalized client wellness tips or design inspiration (limited and opt-in only)
  • Responses to direct client inquiries
  • Invitation to consultations, events, or exclusive promotions (if opted-in)
    We do not send marketing campaigns via SMS unless explicit consent is provided.

3. Message Frequency

  • Clients will receive no more than 4–6 messages per month unless actively engaged in a project where updates are essential.
  • Frequency increases only during active project phases and is always relevant to the client’s specific engagement.

4. Opt-In Policy
All clients must provide explicit consent to receive SMS messages. This may occur through:

  • A website opt-in form
  • A service agreement or intake form checkbox
  • A text-based opt-in response (e.g., texting “YES” to join)

The opt-in language will clearly state:
“Please check the box to acknowledge that by providing your phone number, you agree to receive marketing, promotional or account alert text messages from Michele Pelafas. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies, reply STOP to opt out.”

5. Opt-Out Policy
Every message will include an easy opt-out mechanism:
“Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”

Upon receiving an opt-out keyword (STOP), Michele Pelafas Wellness Design will:

  • Immediately cease messaging to that number
  • Log the opt-out for compliance
  • Provide a confirmation message:

“You have been unsubscribed and will no longer receive text messages from us. If this was a mistake, reply START to resubscribe.”

6. Data Privacy
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade mobile numbers with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may use your mobile number to send you updates related to your project, scheduling, and wellness design services. With your explicit consent, we may also send occasional marketing messages about Michele Pelafas products or services. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP.”

All client data is:

  • Stored securely
  • Used only for client service communications
  • Handled in accordance with applicable data protection regulations (e.g., TCPA, CTIA guidelines)
